I had a nice comment from a new reader and so I checked out their website.

Reading the team biographies (CVs) I couldn't help think that a tad more creativity could have been used in the copywriting.

Director1"brings with him vast experience having run the…"

Director2 "brings a wealth of experience in some of London's top agencies…"

 Director3 "has huge experience …."

Director4 "brings to [the agency] a depth and breadth of media planning expertise…."

C'mon guys – you are CREATIVES – let's do this better.

When you're a new business I know it's often important to you to show off how big and experienced you are and your track record at your previous employers is an important part of that.

However there are some pitfalls

  • Don't pass off work as your own when it was done while working for a previous employer
  • Claim your niche – try not to have too wide or broad an appeal.  Doesn't work for a small organisation.
  • and please don't write your website in Flash so I can't cut and paste your address details into my database programme.
  • I couldn't agree more. If you’re looking for a creative agency - you need to know who your getting involved with! People & work!

Take a look at Guess Who on our people / jobs section:

    As you’ll see I’m a female engineer :-)
