QR Code design improvements by Air New Zealand

Funking up a QR code design by Air New Zealand

I saw an ad in Air New Zealand’s in flight magazine, KiaOra, this month that seems to have a modulated QR code design – they’ve blended the image to make it look more funky.
Quite interesting – but it still works and makes the code a bit more appealing.

Digiday has a good article about QR codes as a moving target – and it shows a hideous one on a bus which is so small you can hardly see it – let alone scan it.

And Neville Hobson mentioned the one on a tower block in Korea on his FIR Podcast this week.

Bad QR codes are being collated on Digiday – check out their WTF Digital Marketing Tumblr blog for more terrible examples.
