I have several new clients and I thought I’d entertain you on a Bank Holiday Monday with a short list of what I am up to.

Job number one (for fun) is to write an italian musical dictionary.  I used to play lots of violin music and it is a great challenge to review my knowledge and recollections in the light of having subsequently learnt business Italian.  Italian is the language of music – somehow they were first to the party and the tradition stuck.  There are very few regularly used notations in classical music that are in French, German or English.

LifetimeHealthDiary an internet start-up that enables you to keep a private record of your health.  It has a neat human body avatar where you can indicate the location of symptoms, plus summaries of your history for 9 days, 9 weeks and 9 years.  The ability to share with doctors, and integrate electronic medical record data via XML feeds makes this a portable VRM application for health.  I am working on growing adoption, joining the online discussion and directing the sales and marketing.  Launch date is 1 June 2010.

Top secret book publishing deal – not for me, but for a businessman client who has written a book about becoming an entrepreneur.  I’m presenting it to publishers and simultaneously developing a self-publishing e-book plan using social media.  Will be interesting to see which comes off first.

Rowperfect - the online retailer for rowing equipment.  There’s an interesting new challenge with manufacturers shifting production to new territories, new products to launch and also a database migration to a new email marketing service provider.

Other early enquiries:

  • A sport coaching service
  • Speed measurment products for water sports
  • Sport rest and recovery monitoring to prevent over-training syndrome
  • Rugged computers for use in hostile terrain

Now, what are you working on?  What challenges are you facing?
